I worked at the Pitkin County Recycling Center at the Pitkin County landfill for 14 years ending in 2011. I picked up and cleaned up the recycling area which was next to the Basalt Town Hall innumerable times.

There is a material recycling facility at the Eagle County landfill in Wolcott. Why is this fact never mentioned in articles about ending recycling in Basalt? Is Basalt no longer a part of Eagle County?

Cardboard, office paper, aluminum, tin and specific plastics were and I believe are still recycled at the Wolcott facility in Eagle County.

Why is there no cooperation between Pitkin and Eagle and Aspen and Snowmass and Basalt?
